My role
Associate Project Manager — scope definition, delivery planning, sprint coordination and client communication.
The challenge
The camel trade in the Gulf runs on personal networks, WhatsApp threads and physical auctions. Moving it online meant serving sellers who had never listed a product digitally, while preserving the trust signals that make a deal happen in person.
How we approached it
We scoped the platform as distinct verticals — livestock listings, feed, equipment, transport and veterinary services — so each could be specified and built without blocking the others. Auctions and real-time messaging were identified as the highest-risk components and sequenced early, while the lower-risk directory work ran in parallel. The entire product was designed Arabic-first, with right-to-left as the default rather than a retrofit.
The outcome
A live platform with account management, categorised listings, a live auction system, direct buyer-to-seller chat and notifications, serving the Saudi market entirely in Arabic.
